My Journey so far

I have always been interested in many different types of sports and exercise from Brazilian Ju-Jitsu to the typical Crossfit Communitygym routines. I like to see how far I can push myself and to break through mental and physical barriers that I have. I first heard of Crossfit around 4 years ago but never took the actual plunge of joining the local box to myself.

It wasnt until around 2 years ago that I noticed I needed a real change in my fitness regime. At this stage I was just going to the gym and doing the same execises on specific days (leg day, ab day, back and triceps….you get the point). So I decided it was time for a change.

I signed up for my first class in March 2015 and immediately noticed how diverse Crossfit was from Olympic lifting to gymnastics. This was exactly what I needed as everyday and every class was different, it gave me the motivation again that was missing from the same, usual monotonous training I was doing at the gym.

I have only competed a handful of times and in some events came nowhere near to winning….but this isn’t what the Crossfit community is about. It’s about pushing past your own limits, breaking down those walls and giving it everything on the floor so that you can walk away knowing that you performed to the best ability that you could. Team mates and competitors come together as one, cheering each other on, there is no such thing as ‘bad blood’ within the Crossfit community. Crossfit is nothing short of incredible and my journey will not stop here.


Why Top Crossfit?

When I first started Crossfit, I had no idea what to expect. I knew the training was going to be intense (as it should be) but at the time I didn’t fully understand how using and wearing the right gear can really help. Although through my training I have seen how beneficial it can be to wear the essential shoes/trainers, knee sleeves and other equipment to not only improve strength, endurance and mobility but also to make sure that that the risk of injury is minimised.
